I Started a Slow Living Snail Mail Club — The Story Post

Lately I’ve been feeling a strong pull toward doing more things the analog way.

Reading real books.
Writing things down with pen and paper.
Spending a little less time online and a little more time with things I can actually hold in my hands.

That shift is what led me to create something new — a slow living snail mail club called The Story Post.

Each month, members will receive a small collection of thoughtful mail designed around slow living and creativity. Inside the envelope will be an art print, a personal letter from me, a recipe card, a prompt card on adding more slow living to your life for more peace and calm, and a few simple pieces meant to encourage reflection and a slower pace of life.

The idea is simple: something beautiful and meaningful arriving in your mailbox that isn’t a bill or junk mail.

Why I Started a Snail Mail Club

For a long time I’ve loved the idea of real mail — letters, postcards, printed art, and the feeling of opening something that was created with intention.

But somewhere along the way most of that disappeared and was replaced by notifications, emails, and constant scrolling.

Creating The Story Post snail mail club felt like a small way to bring that feeling back.

Something slower.
Something more tangible.
Something that lives outside the algorithm.

A Few Behind-the-Scenes Details

This project has been quietly in the works for a while.

Behind the scenes I’ve been:

  • Designing the analog art prints that will be included in each mailing
  • Testing different paper types and print sizes
  • Figuring out the most efficient way to print and package thousands of pieces of mail
  • Creating the letters and prompts that will go inside each envelope

There’s actually a surprising amount of logistics involved in a snail mail club — printers, envelopes, paper quality, packaging, and making sure everything can scale if the community grows.

But the heart of it is still simple: a thoughtful envelope showing up in your mailbox.

Imagine Opening Your Mailbox

Imagine walking to your mailbox and finding an envelope that isn’t a bill, a flyer, or junk mail.

Inside is something created intentionally.

A letter.
A small art print you can frame or keep on your desk.
A thoughtful prompt or reflection to slow down for a moment.

That’s the idea behind The Story Post snail mail club.

Just a small piece of mail designed to bring a little more creativity and calm into your day.

Plus your membership helps animal rescue. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to animal rescue each month. I'll be fully transparent and share every month how much was donated and to what organization.
