Answering Your Bold Questions 🌶️ (Nothing Off Limits)

Every so often, I like to step away from my usual vlog format and sit down for a more direct conversation. So many new people have found my channel recently, and I realized that many of you know me only from this current season of apartment life, slow mornings, Georgie, and The Story Post.

There are many chapters behind the life you see now, including nearly 30 years in corporate finance, several years of full-time travel, and the decision to build a creative business of my own.

This Q&A gave me a chance to connect some of those pieces and answer the questions that do not always fit naturally into a vlog.

A Few Things I Wanted to Clarify

One of the questions I receive most often is whether slow living means my life is always peaceful.

It does not.

I run a full-time business, create videos, work with sponsors, maintain a blog and YouTube membership (which I forgot to mention in the video), and produce hundreds of Story Post envelopes each month.

For me, slow living is not about removing every deadline or responsibility. It is about deciding what I am no longer willing to sacrifice in order to meet them. I still have busy seasons, but I do not want to abandon my health, sleep, or the parts of my life that make the work worthwhile.

I also answered some deeply personal questions in this video. I share those parts of my history because I know how isolating certain experiences can feel, but I can only speak from my own life and the choices that were right for me.

Sharing honestly does not mean every detail of my life is available publicly, and learning that boundary has been an important part of creating a life that feels safe.

More From the Stories I Mentioned

My years on the road

My channel began as Story Chasing and followed my years of traveling full-time in an RV, camper van, and Scamp trailer. You can explore those earlier chapters here:

Join The Story Post Mail Club

Some members tell me they start checking the mailbox more than once because they are hoping that month’s envelope has arrived. ❤️

They love that every piece feels carefully chosen and artfully designed, but also that it has a purpose beyond simply being pretty. Each month is created to offer something to read, reflect on, make, or use in everyday life.

I also love hearing how members are framing their art prints each month and switching them out.

The journals inside my Paper Republic cover

The original Paper Republic refills are beautiful, but I also found these that will fit inside and are a bit cheaper:

4.75" X 7.5" Dot-graph (I'm a sucker for dots instead of lines) https://amzn.to/4yWB4OI

How Georgie came into my life

Georgie entered my life several months after losing Lily, during a time when I was not sure I was ready to love another dog. Her adoption story deserves more than the short version I shared in the Q&A.

My thoughts on relationships and aging alone

I recently made an entire video about being single, protecting my peace, and whether I could see myself remaining alone as I grow older.

My previous personal Q&A

Several questions in this video followed conversations I began in my previous Q&A, including more of my family history and the experiences that shaped me.

Thank You for Asking Thoughtful Questions

The questions that stay with me are usually the ones that do not have neat answers. They make me stop, look back at the different versions of my life, and consider what I believe now.

Thank you for trusting me with your questions and for giving me space to answer them honestly, even when the answer is complicated.
